If you’ve seen aida cloth sewn together into cute, plushy animals, that’s NOT what I’m talking about. Don’t get me wrong; they’re adorable and all, but Notorious Needle patterns don’t require any machines to put together. I prefer to use my own two hands with perforated plastic.
All of my 3D patterns are test-stitched by moi. This means that you’re getting a chart that’s sure to come together just how it looks in the picture. They’re all tried and true! Even the free ones. And the 3D patterns come with step-by-step video instructions so you know EXACTLY how to put it together to look just like the picture.
Hey there, I’m Sarah.
My Mom taught me to cross stitch in the 80s. I have literally stitched hundreds of projects on fabric, t-shirts, sheets and blankets, towels, and dozens of Christmas tree ornaments ! You can make just about anything from the right cross stitch pattern. Even a few quiet moments of peace of mind.
After escaping an abusive marriage, I wanted to crawl under a rock. I felt like a zombie and my creative soul began to atrophy. It took three years to get out from under that funk and a big part of what woke me was returning to the creativity of cross stitch. But the patterns available were waaaaaayyy too cute for how I was feeling. I couldn’t be the only one who needed something stabby, in-your-face and not “nice”. So I created the Notorious Needle to share, and maybe pay forward a little healing.

I like to watch Wheel of Time on Amazon Prime, and listen to the audiobooks. After my desk job, I chauffeur my two boys between light saber duels and VR playdates. I also teach, perform and choreograph for the longest running dance company in Ft. Lauderdale, FL: Body & Soul Dance Theatre.
